Formal wedding ceremony and the level of happiness within the marriage?
Do you think having a formal wedding ceremony (religious or non religious) vs. court marriage makes a difference in the level of happiness and satisfaction within the marriage? From your own opinions and what you've seen, do people who get formally married have longer marriages? Do people who have court marriages tend to have higher divorce rates?
Does going on a honeymoon make a difference too?
Personally, I think that happy marriages are souly based on the couples ability to avoid selfishness. Really, this doesn't have anything to do with what kind of wedding you have.
I will say this though....I would bet that some people who are interested in putting more effort and thought into their wedding, might be more interested in putting more effort and thought into their marriage (and anything else that they do in life). But there are obviously a lot of factors involved that would make it nearly impossibly to see a correlation.
