What size clothes would an 8 year old girl wear?
I'm buying some clothes for an 8 year old girl and I have no idea what size to get her. Someone told me that the age matches the size, so if she's eight, then she would wear a size eight. Is this true? Does anyone out there have an 8 year old and can help me? I'd hate to get her the wrong size. Too big is OK, she'll grow into them, but I don't want to get her something too small. She lives in another country, so returning them is not an option.

size 7/8 is small. I think you should get a 10/12. Its about the average size for a girl, its medium. Size 7/8 is a small and 4/5 is a extra small....so think about it. A 4 to 5 year old will wear size 4/5 and a 6 to 7 year old will wear a 7/8. That makes sense right? So it also makes sense to buy a 10/12...it might be a lil big but you are taking a big chance that a 7/8 will be too small.
