How is the Paal payasam South India did?
I want to know the procedure, how the kheer made with rice and milk made? They call it kheer that Paal payasam in southern India which is a famous dish here.
Ingredients * 1 / 2 cup basmati rice * 4 1 / 4 cups skim milk sugar * 3 / 4 cup * 4 cardamom pods, scraped, powdered or 1 / 2 teaspoon ground cardamom cashew nuts * 1 teaspoon broken * 1 teaspoon of shelled pistachios, sliced * 1 teaspoon of the raisins * 1 teaspoon of ghee or clarified butter Directions 1 Wash the rice well. 2 Place a heavy bottomed vessel on high heat, add the rice and milk and bring to a boil, stirring continuously. 3 Reduce the flame and simmer for 40 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes. 4 After 40 minutes, check if the rice is cooked (consistency of the pudding will be slightly thick, like milkshake). 5 After the rice is cooked, add sugar and stir until dissolution. 6 Remove the vessel from the flame and set aside. 7 In a small frying pan heat ghee over low heat and add cashews and pistachios. 8 roasted until the cashews turn light brown (about 2 minutes). 9 add grapes swell immediately. 10 Now, pour the contents quickly of cooked sausage in the skillet and mix well. 11 Sprinkle cardamom powder and serve hot!
