What is the corect dress coad for Mountain and moorland in hand class?
Hi. I have a mini shetland pony, 9hh 6yrs. I have had him for 4yrs and have never shown him.
I am thinking of taking him to a few local classes, just for fun.
What would I need to wear?
You would need to wear:
Tweed jacket (always tweed for inhand)
Beige, brown or black trousers.
Jod boots or walking boots
Shirt
Tie,
Brown leather gloves.
Hat (either a beagler, riding hat, trilby or flat cap)
Jodphurs is NEVER a good Idea on an adult, and the general rule is that if the pony isnt a ridden pony then jods and boots is not acceptable at all. Young children can get away with jods in inhand classes but not adults unless the pony has just come out of a ridden class and you havent had time to change.
