Can someone please help me about this shirt?

Alright, I have a LEGIT problem. This is not even a joke, so if you're going to answer with a rude comment, please don't bother. I will just report you. Anyways, I have what is button phobia. I am not scared of them. But it's an extreme disgust. Not with the metal ones on jeans but the plastic ones. My job's new shirts are polo shirts and they have them on the shirts. I have a MAJOR problem with them. I even ordered the smock in place of that shirt. But they said I have to work there 30 days before I can order the smock. So I'm stuck with the polo until then. This phobia is my deepest darkest secret and I'm really ashamed about it. Should I explain to my boss tomorrow that buttons sicken me and I would more or less suffer wearing that shirt? Why don't you replace the plastic buttons with metal ones? They wont even notice if you get them a similar color... or you can paint the metal ones the same color as the original. I would replace the buttons... don't try to explain yourself to him cause most people won't understand. Good luck!
