BLACK, MIXED CURLY HAIR!!!!
Hey!
My hair type is 3C and I love it but I want to be type 3A, do you think its possible?
What do you advise I should do? i want it to be more slinky than afro. When I was a child I used to texturizer my hair because it was to hard to manage but I stopped like 4 years ago and now it's totally natural, I have been thinking of going back to texturizing but I'm not sure.

So, "mixed people" hair is soft and thick, which implies that blacks have hard hair? Your thinking and logic is quite messed up and you definitely don't know what you're talking about. Firstly, my "black hair" is probably 10x's softer than yours. Secondly, I'm fully black and before I began relaxing my hair it used to be curly/wavy, which, by society's standards, is better than your "mixed" hair. Thirdly, not all mixed people have the same hair type. And, fourthly, telling us you're hair is "mixed" doesn't tell us anything, because I have a sister who's "mixed" with Japanese/African-American and I highly doubt you two have the same hair type. Oh, and also, which is kind of funny, my hair, at this moment is probably a 3c. I went natural last year after 13 years of relaxing, so does that mean I have "mixed people" hair? My hair is slowly loosening and showing signs of going back to my childhood hair type. You should really loose these ignorant stereotypes of hair.
On to your questions, No, you cannot change your hair type. You weren't born with 3a hair so you cannot change it to 3a hair, even if you texturize it. The only thing texturizing does is loosen your curl pattern, but it does not change the actual size of your curls. You would have to use big rollers and do roller wraps and fake that hair type. Maybe a curly perm will give you those types of curls. Or, braiding, or plaiting, your hair when it's damp will temporarily loosen your curl pattern. You can also look into scrunching to get the effect you seek.
