Best way to make Chicken Meatballs, not with tomato sauce.?
hey there. my mom wants me to make meatballs tonight for dinner. she usually makes them, we eat them with rice, not the italian way lol. i know how to make them but i want to add some more flavor. usually I add bead crumbs, egg, salt, paprika, and pepper, onion. what other herbs or spices would make them more flavorful? thanks!
ps. also what are other ways to eat them with? i was thinking of adding white country gravy, thought that may be interesting.
Chicken goes well with parsley and thyme. You can add those dried spices, along with rosemary or sage if you like. If you want a cream sauce, you can mix equal parts cream of mushroom soup (or any of those canned cream soups), sour cream and milk. If you want a brown sauce, cook equal parts oil/butter and flour in a saucepan for a bit, then add chicken stock / broth.
