I had a huge stain on my silk dress for nail polish remover. What can I do to get the color back?
It's not even my dress, and I need to fix it real quick. Do you think black clothing dye will work? i took ti dry cleaning and they said they can not do anything about it ... The spot is all gray and slightly shiny on the edges. I'll get cooking if I do not get not solve this problem. please help!
It's not like a food or wine stains. You remove the fabric dye. The acetone in nail polish remover has an effect similar to bleach when applied to tissues. If you use a dye that does not match the dye lot of fabric dress was made with, there's really no point. You might as well scribble on the damage with a marker. It has the same effect. Next time, remove the dress and wear a dress or clothing of the house. Wait until your nails and hair are dry for set.
